Education and Streatham Cemetery
The cemetery is a great outside resource for local schools.
Children can learn about their local history, and who is buried in the cemetery, they can also study biodiversity, plants, mini-beasts, beekeeping, bats and birds.
Not only can they walk around the cemetery and look at the environment but they can study existing material we have gathered and also learn about beekeeping in our very own hives.
We welcome visits from schools and we hope to collaborate with schools and local charities such as Groundwork, to develop useful and interesting teaching packs for children visiting the cemetery.
We value all contributions to our teaching packs please send any material to our email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
